Introduction to the University

Bristol University, founded in 1876, is located in Bristol, England, and is ranked 51st in the world (QS 2026). It is a world-class research university and one of the six red brick universities in the UK. The university has many academic professors and alumni, including 47 Royal Society researchers, 17 British Academy researchers, and 13 Nobel Prize winners.

Project Introduction

The 3+1 bachelor-master continuous study project is hosted by the School of Computer Science, School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering Mathematics and Technology, School of Chemistry, School of Earth Sciences, and School of Geographical Sciences at Bristol University. The project adopts a "3+1" model, where students study at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics for the first three years and then go to Bristol University for a one-year master's degree program.

Project Details and Requirements

• Application Objects: 2023 and 2024 level students.
• Application Projects: Bristol University's scientific research strengthening camp (online).
• Project Time: 2026/7-2026/8.
• Application Requirements: Students majoring in science, engineering, and economics, with a certain level of English proficiency.
• Master's Degree Project Time: 2023 level master's stage: 2026/9-2027/9, 2024 level master's stage: 2027/9-2028/9.

Application Conditions

1. Scientific Research Strengthening Camp Application Objects and Requirements:
   • Students majoring in related fields such as artificial intelligence, mechanics, automation, and computer science.
   • English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or above.
2. Master's Program Application Objects and Requirements:
   • Students who have completed all undergraduate courses and obtained corresponding credits.
   • Six-semester weighted average score reaches 80 points (百分制) or GPA 3.0 or above.
   • English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 (single item 6.0), TOEFL 85 (listening, reading, writing 20, speaking 21), or Langmaster B2 High Pass.

  • 2026 summer scientific research strengthening camp: 2026/7-2026/8, registration deadline: 2025/12/30.
  • 2026 master's degree project: 2026/9-2027/9.
• 2024 Level Student Project Arrangement Plan:
  • 2026 summer scientific research strengthening camp: 2026/7-2026/8, registration deadline: 2026/4/30.
  • 2027 master's degree project: 2027/9-2028/9.

Project Fees

• Interview Application Fee: 200 yuan.
• Scientific Research Strengthening Camp Tuition and Master's Program Application Fee: 19,900 yuan.
• Reference Academic Year Master's Tuition: in pounds, subject to Bristol University's final announcement.
• Scholarships: Bristol University provides Think Big Postgraduate Scholarships for international students to compete for application.

   • Passport homepage scan (if any).
   • Undergraduate transcripts in Chinese and English.
   • Proof of enrollment in Chinese and English.
   • English proficiency certificate: TOEFL/IELTS/Langmaster score report, or university four/six level score report.
   • English personal statement (350-500 words): explaining the reasons for participating in the project, personal academic planning, and professional intentions.
